Ethereum's Q3 Rally Faces October Reversal Risk
Ethereum's strong Q3 performance, with a 70%+ ROI, has put it in the spotlight, but the asset is now facing a potential reversal in October.
A recent analysis by Santiment shows a diverging trend in Ethereum's sentiment meter reading, with a ratio of 0.89 bullish comments to one bearish comment, its lowest since June 7th.
However, analysts point out that this could be a contrarian setup, where pessimism creates a better entry setup than the classic 'buy the dip' narrative.
But recent on-chain developments suggest that the bears may be getting ahead of themselves, with Binance's weekly Taker Buy/Sell Ratio dropping to 0.95, and Ethereum's exit queue hitting its highest level since 2026.
The co-founder Joseph Lubin has also shifted a significant amount of ETH to a new wallet, adding further uncertainty over the outlook for the altcoin in October.
