Ethereum's Strong Quarter Fuels Hope of Reaching $3,000 Again
Ethereum has seen its strongest quarter among major cryptocurrencies, posting a 57% gain over the last 90 days. This surge has raised hopes of Ethereum reaching $3,000 again, a price point it last saw in January 2026. However, despite this recent rally, Ethereum is currently trading around $2,706, about 45% below its all-time high of $4,946 reached in August 2025.
Ethereum outperformed other top cryptocurrencies over the past three months, including Solana (SOL) with a 48% gain and XRP with a 37% increase. However, Ethereum's momentum has gradually slowed down, climbing only about 8% over the past month after a robust 45% gain over the past two months.
The price of Ethereum needs to clear $2,807 before it can reach $3,000. This resistance level is sitting about 4% above the current price, and for a real shot at hitting $3,000, Ethereum would need to close above this level, bringing it within 7% of that target.
