Ethereum's Tenfold Target: A Gauntlet of Milestones
Ethereum's recent 71% quarterly gain has reignited discussions of a potential tenfold return. However, hitting $26,600 per coin would require a gauntlet of milestones that most bulls are glossing over.
For Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) to increase tenfold from its current price of about $2,663, it would need to reach approximately $26,600 per coin. This target is more than five times its peak value of $4,946, which was reached on August 24, 2025.
Ethereum's market value stands at around $325 billion, and a tenfold increase in price would imply a market cap of about $3.25 trillion, larger than the entire crypto market, which is valued at approximately $2.86 trillion today.
However, achieving this growth through either route alone will be challenging: if Ethereum maintains its 11% market share, the entire crypto market would need to expand tenfold, reaching roughly $29 trillion; on the other hand, if the market remains at its current size, Ethereum would need to account for more than 100% of it, which is impossible.
Ethereum's uncapped supply raises the bar, with approximately 122 million ETH in circulation. This means that the math around market value changes, since market value is determined by multiplying the price by the number of coins available.
