Ethiopia Slashes Power to Bitcoin Miners Amid Drought
Ethiopia has reduced power supply to its Bitcoin miners by a significant 77% due to severe drought and drying reservoirs.
The country's utility company had previously supplied an estimated 750 MW of power, which accounted for about one-third of the national power grid.
This sudden cut in power will likely have a substantial impact on the local mining operations, with many of them going dark until water and generation levels recover.
