EU Crypto Market Transitions into Enforcement Phase After MiCA Deadline

EU crypto market enters its next phase after MiCA's transitional period ended on July 1, 2026. Firms without authorization must wind down their EU operations.

The number of authorized providers has increased to roughly 323 at the end of July, up from about 194 in May, according to ESMA's Interim MiCA Register.

Regulators are now tracking the next phase of Europe's MiCA transition. Crypto-asset service providers without the required authorization must wind down their EU operations after the transitional period ended.
