EURC Surpasses $600M Circulation as Eurozone Players Flock to Stablecoin
The euro stablecoin EURC has gained popularity among crypto casino players in the Eurozone, allowing them to fund their accounts without exposing themselves to exchange rate risks. Unlike traditional USDT swap currency, which requires converting euros to dollars and back again with each transaction, EURC keeps a bankroll in the actual currency being spent.
Circle's EURC is issued under EU MiCA rules and is redeemable one-for-one with the euro. The token has grown quickly, passing €402 million in circulation as of August 2026, making it the largest Euro stablecoin in the market at around 63% market share, according to industry data.
Ethereum holds the majority of EURC supply, followed by Solana and Base, with Avalanche and Stellar being smaller networks. Each chain has its own fees and address requirements, so network choice is crucial for frequent small deposits or larger transfers.
