The Euro (EUR) is holding onto its previous day's gains against the US Dollar (USD), trading at around 1.1630 during the Asian session on Friday.

This comes after the US Dollar faced sharp selling pressure on Thursday following dovish remarks from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller, who stated that he would support keeping interest rates steady if August inflation data shows progress towards the 2% target.

Fed's Waller didn't rule out hiking interest rates this month if inflation figures come in hot, but his comments suggested a bias towards maintaining the status quo. Investors are now awaiting key US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) data for August, which will be released at 12:30 GMT.
