European Access Boosts Zcash Price Above $1,600 Amid ETP Launch
21Shares has introduced a physically backed Zcash exchange-traded product (ETP) on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, making it easier for European investors to access ZEC. The listing, which occurred on September 22, comes as Zcash's price surge began earlier in the month. On September 19, CryptoSlate reported that Grayscale's U.S. Zcash ETF was gaining attention, contributing to a rally that saw ZEC trade around $1,540.
By September 23, Zcash had reached a 24-hour high of $1,651 before retracing to around $1,487 by press time. The launch of the ETP adds another access point for European investors to participate in this price movement.
The new product, listed as ZCASH on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam, holds ZEC through its structure, giving investors price exposure without requiring them to buy or custody tokens directly. However, an annual fee of 2.5% applies, along with potential brokerage charges.
