European Banks Flood into Regulated Crypto Market Under MiCA

Share

The number of European banks listed in the MiCA register has more than doubled since June, from about 40 to nearly 80. This represents a significant increase in their presence in the regulated crypto market.

The total number of crypto asset service providers in the register has also grown, from 243 to 349. However, banks now make up nearly 23% of these registered players, compared to about 17% three months earlier.

Germany is leading this trend, with 89 MiCA-approved crypto players, including several major banks such as Deutsche Bank. The country's cooperative and regional banks are also entering the market, offering services related to digital assets.
