EVEDEX Surges as Multi-Asset Perpetual Exchange Leader
The cryptocurrency and financial markets have seen an increase in multi-asset perpetual exchanges, allowing traders to access various asset classes from one account. EVEDEX stands out as a hybrid perpetual futures exchange that lists 52 perpetual contracts across crypto, US stocks, commodities, FX pairs, and pre-IPO markets. This is a significant breadth of offerings, making it a key player in the market.
One of the main advantages of EVEDEX is its ability to trade multiple asset classes from one USDT cross-margin balance. This allows traders to easily switch between trading Bitcoin perpetuals, Tesla stocks, and gold without needing to switch venues. The exchange's fees are fixed at 0.015% maker and 0.045% taker, which is competitive with other platforms.
EVEDEX has a maximum leverage of up to 200x on BTC, ETH, and SOL for positions up to $50,000 notional. This is higher than Hyperliquid's 40x and dYdX's 20x but lower than Aster's 1001x on select pairs. The exchange also runs no traditional KYC to trade, with deposits passing automated on-chain AML screening.
While EVEDEX has its advantages, it does have some limitations. Margin is cross-only, so one losing position can draw on the whole account balance. Traders who want to ring-fence risk per position may prefer a venue with isolated margin. The exchange's open interest of about $700 million is smaller than the largest perpetual DEXs.
