Evernorth Aims for Record-Breaking XRP Treasury Position
A little-known company pursuing a Nasdaq listing has disclosed plans to hold 473 million XRP on its balance sheet, marking a new frontier in corporate crypto treasury management. Evernorth, which is building a dedicated XRP treasury vehicle through a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), filed an S-4 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as part of its regulatory path toward public markets.
The planned holding would make Evernorth the largest publicly traded holder of XRP, surpassing any comparable corporate vehicle. The 473 million figure represents the treasury position that would transfer onto Evernorth's books once the transaction closes. At current spot prices, this allocation represents a substantial dollar-denominated investment in XRP.
The move draws parallels with MicroStrategy's corporate bitcoin treasury model, where shareholders gain indirect exposure to cryptocurrency price appreciation through regulated public equity. However, critics argue that concentrating a balance sheet in a single volatile digital asset introduces substantial mark-to-market risk that traditional treasury management frameworks are not designed to absorb.
