Evernorth's XRP Treasury Deal Could Disrupt Corporate Holdings
A proposed merger between Armada Acquisition Corp II and Evernorth, an XRP treasury company, is set to impact over 470 million XRP holdings. If approved, the combined company would trade on the Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN.
The deal involves a SPAC created to merge with an operating business. Evernorth's registration statement was declared effective by the SEC on August 27, clearing the way for the shareholder vote.
Evernorth plans to actively manage its XRP treasury, which is different from a conventional XRP ETF. The company aims to increase the amount of XRP attributable to each share over time through lending and providing liquidity.
The proposed merger does not affect individual investors' XRP holdings. Instead, it determines whether a large corporate XRP treasury moves forward under the proposed structure.
