F1 Extends Crypto.com Partnership Through 2030
Crypto.com and Formula 1 announced an extension of their partnership in December 2024, solidifying Crypto.com's status as one of the sport's longest-serving commercial partners. The deal, initially signed in June 2021 for $100 million, has already shown significant returns for the exchange.
During its first nine years, from 2022 to 2030, Crypto.com will retain title partnership rights for the Miami Grand Prix. This means that every year, the event will be branded as the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, providing extensive branding opportunities and exposure for the exchange. Additionally, Crypto.com has secured trackside signage at all Grand Prix events worldwide.
The deal's impact on the exchange is substantial: in just three years, Crypto.com's user base grew from 10 million to over 100 million, a tenfold increase directly coinciding with the partnership period. This massive growth can be attributed to several factors, including the exposure gained through F1's vast global audience and commercial reach.
Another significant aspect of the deal is the introduction of the Crypto.com Overtake Award in 2021. The award recognizes the most impressive overtaking move at each Grand Prix event, with fans voting on their favorite passes. This recognition has become a consistent engagement tool for Crypto.com throughout every season.
