Fairshake Affiliate Spends $189K on Mailers Supporting Auchincloss

A affiliate of Fairshake, a super PAC backed by major crypto companies and investors, spent $189,527.60 on mailers supporting Representative Jake Auchincloss in his Massachusetts' Fourth Congressional District primary election on September 1.

Auchincloss won the election with 72.3% of the vote against Democratic challenger Jason Poulos, who publicly asked Auchincloss to renounce the spending. The mailers allegedly used artificial intelligence-generated content.

Poulos criticized the intervention, claiming that some of the money funded 'AI-generated slop mailers'. Neither the FEC disclosure nor Poulos' materials established that Auchincloss or his campaign helped produce the advertisements.
