Fairshake backs 32 U.S. lawmakers with millions ahead of midterms
Fairshake, a crypto-focused super PAC, is allocating millions of dollars to support 32 U.S. House incumbents ahead of the November midterms. The group, which advocates for crypto policy and DeFi regulation, is backing 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats. Six candidates, three from each party, are set to receive $1 million each from Fairshake and its affiliates.
The candidates receiving the highest level of support are Democrats Janelle Bynum, Steven Horsford, and Derek Tran, and Republicans French Hill, Bill Huizenga, and Bryan Steil. Fairshake’s backing is directed at lawmakers who supported the House version of the CLARITY Act, a bill aimed at resolving key legislative issues for the crypto industry.
The Senate’s failure to advance a broader market-structure bill last month has left the industry’s main legislative push unresolved. Fairshake’s concentrated fundraising efforts reflect a strategic push to influence crypto policy and adoption ahead of the midterms.
