Fairshake Drops Record $30 Million on Blocking Sherrod Brown's Senate Bid

The Fairshake political action committee (PAC) is targeting former Sen. Sherrod Brown's bid to return to the Senate, committing $30 million to block his attempt. This expenditure comes on top of the $40 million spent by Fairshake against Brown in the 2024 U.S. elections.

Brown, a Democrat who served as U.S. senator from Ohio from 2007 to 2025 and chaired the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, has been a vocal critic of digital assets during his tenure.

The crypto industry is concerned about Brown's potential return to the Senate, even though he won't chair the Senate Banking Committee again. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) currently holds that position.
