Fairshake Dumps $30M Against Sherrod Brown in Ohio Senate Showdown

Crypto-backed super PAC Fairshake plans to spend at least $30 million in opposition to former Sen. Sherrod Brown's return to the U.S. Senate, following the failure of the CLARITY Act.

The bill aimed to divide federal oversight of digital assets between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission but was rejected by the Senate with a 50-49 vote.

Brown, who previously chaired the Senate Banking Committee, opposed several crypto-backed proposals during his tenure. He is now challenging Republican Sen. Jon Husted in Ohio's November special election.
