Fairshake Invests Millions in Pro-Crypto House Incumbents Ahead of Midterms
Fairshake, a crypto-focused super PAC, is investing millions in 32 U.S. House incumbents ahead of the November midterms. The group is backing 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats, with six candidates receiving $1 million each. The Democrats include Janelle Bynum, Steven Horsford, and Derek Tran, while the Republicans are French Hill, Bill Huizenga, and Bryan Steil. Hill chairs the House Financial Services Committee, and Steil leads its digital-assets subcommittee.
The candidates supported the House version of the CLARITY Act, which failed to advance in the Senate last month. Fairshake's spokesperson, Geoff Vetter, emphasized the group's focus on crypto policy over party affiliation. "Fairshake has always been and always will be an issue-focused organization. We back pro-crypto candidates who support American innovation in both parties," Vetter said.
Fairshake has reported about $120 million in cash reserves as of August and has committed nearly $30 million against Ohio Senate candidate Sherrod Brown. The group claims to have backed 53 winners across 57 primaries and special elections this cycle.
