Fairshake PAC network backs 32 House candidates to advance crypto priorities
Fairshake, the largest political spending network in the cryptocurrency sector, is expanding its influence by backing 32 House candidates in the upcoming midterm elections. The network, which includes affiliated super PACs Protect Progress and Defend American Jobs, aims to support 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats who have aligned with the crypto industry's priorities. Fairshake has committed at least $1 million to support six key incumbents, including Democratic Reps. Janelle Bynum, Steven Horsford, and Derek Tran, as well as Republicans French Hill, Bill Huizenga, and Bryan Steil.
The network's spokesperson, Geoff Vetter, emphasized that Fairshake is an issue-focused organization, backing pro-crypto candidates from both parties. With substantial financial resources, Fairshake and its affiliated PACs entered September with about $120.4 million in cash, it has already spent $71 million this election cycle, with 53 wins out of 57 primaries and special elections. The new general-election push comes after the CLARITY Act, a significant market-structure bill for the crypto industry, failed to advance in the Senate, leaving its fate to the next Congress.
All 32 candidates supported by Fairshake voted for the CLARITY Act when it passed the House in July 2025. Several of these candidates hold influential positions, such as House Financial Services Committee Chair French Hill and Vice Chair Bill Huizenga, as well as Digital Assets Subcommittee Leader Bryan Steil. Fairshake's backing extends to a mix of Republican and Democratic candidates across various states, reflecting its bipartisan approach to promoting crypto-friendly legislation.
Fairshake has also been active in Senate races, spending nearly $30 million this cycle to oppose Democratic Senate nominee Sherrod Brown in Ohio. The network previously spent about $40 million to defeat Brown in 2024, when he was Senate Banking Committee chairman and advocated for stricter crypto regulations.
