Fairshake Pours $193 Million into Midterm Elections with Ripple and Coinbase Leading the Charge
Fairshake, the crypto industry's leading super PAC, has $193 million set aside for the upcoming midterms on November 3. The organization's significant war chest includes a $25 million donation each from Ripple and Coinbase.
While both companies operate in the crypto space, they do so with different business models. Coinbase facilitates transactions across hundreds of tokens, making it less reliant on any single asset. In contrast, Ripple's operations are heavily tied to XRP, which serves as a bridge asset for its payment solutions.
XRP is currently facing unique legal scrutiny as the only major token subject to an SEC lawsuit challenging whether it qualifies as a security. The outcome of the CLARITY Act, which would determine whether the SEC or CFTC governs various tokens, has significant implications for XRP's regulatory future.
