Fake GTA 6 Leak Site Drains Crypto Wallets Across Multiple Networks

A fake Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) leak website has been discovered by Malwarebytes, a cybersecurity firm. The site appears as a fan countdown and invites visitors to download an allegedly leaked copy of Rockstar Games' highly anticipated title.

The convincing-looking page contains a cryptocurrency wallet drainer that can target multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base, and Fantom. The site offers two supposedly leaked copies for $50 and 1 SOL (approximately $102), respectively.

To gain legitimacy, the website features legitimate promotional material, stating that GTA 6 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. However, it contradicts itself by claiming the game is console-only in one section and promising a PC download after payment in another.

Malwarebytes found two separate pieces of malicious code in the payment option section. One targets Solana wallets, calculating a transfer designed to leave only enough funds behind to cover transaction fees. The second component is a larger script that can target wallets across various blockchain networks, posing as a legitimate wallet-connection tool.
