Following the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, a screenshot circulated online claiming to show President Donald Trump posting a fiery message on Truth Social. The alleged post, which included threats of consequences for voters, was widely shared but later debunked by Snopes. The fake post purportedly canceled several initiatives, including American Crypto, Super Intelligence, and stimulus checks, while also referencing controversial topics like the Epstein file releases.

In reality, Trump's only verified post on election night attributed the Democratic victories to his absence from the ballot. He wrote, 'I wasn't on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP.' The fake post, however, included inflammatory language and claims that did not align with Trump's actual social media activity.

Snopes investigated the claim and found no evidence of the post on Trump's Truth Social account or in archives of his deleted posts. The investigation also noted inconsistencies in the language used, such as the word 'gonna,' which Trump had not used in any of his 2026 posts. The debunking highlighted the ongoing issue of fake social media posts attributed to the president.
