The XRP Ledger Foundation and RippleX have issued security warnings about fake XRP airdrops, reward scanners, and phishing campaigns targeting investors.

Fraudulent promotions, impersonation accounts, and wallet traps are designed to obtain sensitive information or trick investors into unsafe actions.

The XRP Ledger Foundation warned investors on August 6 that fraudulent XRP reward campaigns are spreading through social media as scammers use fake promotions and impersonation accounts.

RippleX flagged fake scanners and impersonation posts on X, urging the community to carefully review announcements involving airdrops, giveaways, or wallet activity before taking action.
