Faster Election Odds Data May Not Always Be Better

The real-time election odds on prediction markets can be misleading for crypto traders, as prices may change rapidly due to news and other market forces.

On September 9, DoubleZero announced that it had added Kalshi's election and politics markets to Edge, a service designed to deliver trading data over a dedicated network. This allows users to access the exchange's order book in real-time, showing prices and quantities of people willing to buy and sell.

This is particularly beneficial for market makers, firms that continually offer to buy and sell contracts so other traders have someone to trade with. They can use faster information to update their quotes and take advantage of price movements, potentially earning more from repeated trades.
