The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has mentioned Hedera, Ethereum, and Solana as examples of distributed-ledger infrastructure used at the settlement layer in its DeFi study.

According to a video analysis by Ayman 'AI Man' Mufleh, the FATF report highlights these networks as potential foundational distributed ledger infrastructure that records transactions, provides security and consensus, and delivers final settlement for higher-level applications.

The reference is significant because it places Hedera in a regulatory discussion around how decentralized-finance systems are structured. However, analysts caution that being mentioned in a technical example does not establish institutional adoption or confer regulatory approval on HBAR.

At the time of recording, HBAR was trading at $0.06 to $0.07, down sharply from prior highs near $0.25. Possible future catalysts for HBAR include DTCC, SWIFT, CBDC initiatives, decentralized applications, potential HBAR ETFs, and prospective U.S. crypto legislation.
