XRP Exchange Balances Flip Negative as Coinbase & ByBit Outflows Surge
XRP exchange balances have taken a sharp turn for the worse as Coinbase and ByBit outflows surge, echoing a pre-rally pattern seen in May and June. Market analyst Xaif Crypto notes that net inflows on these platforms have flipped to net outflows, indicating investors are moving XRP into private wallets or long-term custody.
This shift has been observed despite XRP's relatively stable price action, trading between $1.05 and $1.07. As pointed out by CoinCodex data, this accumulation phase may be taking place despite the subdued market activity.
The significance of shrinking exchange balances lies in their historical alignment with periods of stronger price performance for XRP. A similar setup was seen before the altcoin's advances in May and June, when sustained withdrawals preceded renewed buying momentum.
Xaif Crypto believes that this current setup closely resembles the pre-rally pattern, suggesting that another significant move may be brewing. The combination of declining exchange balances, record-long price stability above $1, rising XRPL activity, and continued institutional utility paints an increasingly constructive picture for XRP's prospects.
Sagar Shah, Evernorth Chief Business Officer, offers a different perspective on XRP's value proposition, emphasizing its ability to enable fast, low-cost cross-border payments and support real-world financial infrastructure. He maintains that growing adoption and network utility are more meaningful indicators than short-term market swings.
