Fed Dovish Stance Sends Bitcoin Price Soaring to $81,300
The recent statements from the Federal Reserve have caused a significant shift in market expectations. Fed Board member Christopher Waller suggested that interest rates might remain unchanged at the September meeting, citing disinflationary trends and limited impact of tariffs on prices.
Waller's dovish stance has reduced the likelihood of a rate hike in September, with CME FedWatch data showing a decline from 63.2% to 48.4%. This shift in expectations has led to increased demand for risky assets, causing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to surge in value.
Bitcoin has risen by approximately 4.3% in the last 24 hours, reaching $81,300. Ethereum, BNB, Solana, and XRP have also seen significant gains, with XRP standing out with an 8.6% increase to around $1.45.
The upcoming August consumer inflation figures will be a critical indicator for the Fed's decision in September. Waller emphasized that the interest rate decision will largely depend on the upcoming inflation data.
