Strategy Inc (NASDAQ:MSTR) shares have surged by over 13% on Thursday, coinciding with Bitcoin's price hitting $80,000 amid lower yields and a weaker dollar. Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller's comments that he is inclined to support holding interest rates steady likely eased concerns about tighter monetary policy and boosted risk appetite.
The company, along with Google Cloud, launched the AI Transformation Forum, a seven-city U.S. executive series focused on helping organizations scale AI with trusted data, governance, and business context. This event aims to address enterprise data, semantic layers, AI governance, token and compute efficiency, and strategies for moving AI from pilots to production.
Technically, the stock is trading near its 200-day simple moving average of $139.32, which often acts as a trend indicator. Momentum appears improved, with the MACD above its signal line and a positive histogram. However, the longer-term backdrop still carries baggage due to the 50-day SMA remaining below the 200-day SMA.
