Fed Keeps Interest Rates Steady, Bitcoin Holds Ground
The Federal Reserve (Fed) maintained its benchmark interest rate at 3.50-3.75 percent during its July 2026 Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting.
Bitcoin's market response to the decision was relatively limited, holding steady around Rp1,150,000,000 to Rp1,172,000,000 on the Indodax Market since the Fed's announcement.
Aloysia Dian, Chief Marketing Officer of INDODAX, explained that investors should focus not only on the interest rate decision but also on the central bank's overall message and policymakers' views on future economic outlook.
Dian emphasized that market movements are influenced by a combination of factors, including interest rates, liquidity, funding costs, and investors' preferences for risky assets, such as cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
