Fed Rate Hike Fails to Dent Crypto Markets as Bitcoin Holds Firm
The Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates by 25 basis points has had a mixed impact on cryptocurrencies. Ethereum (ETH) remains steady above $2,400 despite the hike.
The rate increase pushed the federal funds target rate to 3.75-4.00%, as market participants anticipated. The move followed higher producer and consumer inflation numbers last week.
Listed companies have been cautious in their Bitcoin (BTC) purchases, buying only 5,900 BTC over three months. This is a significant decrease from the 89,000 BTC purchased in July 2025 alone, when BTC/USD traded above $100,000.
