Fetch.ai, NuNet Suffer $2M in Crypto Asset Drains

Crypto attackers linked to Fetch.ai and NuNet exploited two separate security incidents that drained nearly $2 million in cryptocurrency assets. On September 19, an attacker withdrew approximately 8.7 million FET from Fetch.ai's Ethereum-based TokenConversionManagerV3 contract. This loss was valued at around $1.53 million.

The same address linked to the Fetch.ai incident is also connected to the creation of 408.5 million NTX through NuNet's deployment infrastructure, with a token value of roughly $462,700 at the time of the activity. The supply expansion led to an approximately 65% collapse in NTX.

The attacker converted much of the extracted value into about 546 ETH, worth around $1.44 million when PeckShield traced the transactions. Neither Fetch.ai nor NuNet has published a technical post-mortem or confirmed the underlying failure mechanism at this time.
