Fidelity Adds Ethereum Staking to FETH ETF
Fidelity is planning to add Ethereum staking to its FETH exchange-traded fund (ETF), which could significantly change how investors gain exposure to ETH through traditional financial markets.
The regulatory filing from Fidelity's Ethereum Fund outlines plans to allow the fund to stake up to 100% of its Ethereum holdings under normal circumstances, subject to liquidity needs and operational considerations. This would mean that shareholders could gain exposure not only to the price of Ethereum but also a portion of the rewards generated by participating in Ethereum's proof-of-stake network.
Fidelity currently holds approximately 471,750 ETH at the end of 2025, valued at around $880 million. Even a modest staking yield could potentially generate meaningful additional value for shareholders over time.
