Fidelity Adds Spot Bitcoin and Ether Funds to ETF Lineup
Fidelity's ETF lineup has been expanded to include spot Bitcoin and Ether funds, as announced on its Crypto Funds page. The company now lists spot crypto ETPs such as FBTC for bitcoin and FETH for ether among its offerings. These products provide 'the opportunity to gain indirect exposure to the performance of bitcoin, ether, or SOL,' according to Fidelity.
Fidelity first introduced the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) in a July 22, 2024 press release, describing it as one of the industry's early spot ETPs for ether. Regulatory approvals have broadened the market, with reporting in 2026 noting that the SEC approved spot ether ETF applications from several issuers, including Fidelity.
The company has continued to expand features for its crypto ETFs, with Yahoo Finance reporting in August 2026 that Fidelity filed with the SEC to permit its spot Ethereum ETF to stake holdings and pay investors yield. This move adds yield functionality to the product, allowing it to generate returns from ether holdings beyond price moves.
