Fidelity Launches Spot Bitcoin ETP for US Investors

Fidelity has launched its spot bitcoin exchange-traded product (ETP) called Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), giving US investors access to this new investment option.

The FBTC ETP aims to mirror the price performance of bitcoin by passively holding the asset, rather than using futures or derivatives.

This move is significant as it joins BlackRock's IBIT in attracting a majority of new bitcoin ETF flows, leaving smaller funds behind.
