Fidelity Spot Bitcoin ETF Soars with Record $310M Inflows
Fidelity's spot Bitcoin ETF, Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), experienced an unprecedented surge in net inflows on September 18. The fund pulled in a staggering $310.72 million, dwarfing every other product in its category and accounting for roughly 72% of the entire day's haul across US spot Bitcoin ETFs.
Total net inflows across all US spot Bitcoin ETFs reached $433 million that day, with Fidelity and BlackRock's IBIT representing about 97% of the capital that flowed in. This phenomenon highlights the growing popularity of spot Bitcoin ETFs among investors, who are increasingly looking to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency.
FBTC has been a leading player in the space since its launch in January 2024, with cumulative net inflows reaching approximately $10.36 billion. This figure places it firmly in the upper tier of the spot Bitcoin ETF universe, trailing only BlackRock's IBIT in total capital attracted.
