First Northwest Bancorp (FNWB) shares rose 3.48% to $12.20 after Board Chair Cindy Hill Finnie was honored with the 2026 Director of the Year award by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

Finnie, who has served as board chair since 2022, made history as the organization's first female chair and helped guide leadership succession and strategic expansion across the Puget Sound region.

Under her tenure, Finnie oversaw several important leadership transitions, including the national executive search that resulted in Curt Queyrouze becoming President and Chief Executive Officer in 2025.

Queyrouze praised Finnie's governance approach, saying it strengthened the organization during a period of significant change, while Finnie attributed the recognition to the board's collective work.
