Fireblocks Adds Cardano Native Token Support by March 2027
Fireblocks, a leading digital asset custody and transfer platform used by financial institutions, will add full support for Cardano's native tokens by March 2027. The integration aims to streamline workflows for banks, payment companies, and other regulated institutions dealing with Cardano-based assets.
The new infrastructure will allow institutional clients to custody, send, and receive assets issued directly on the Cardano network, including those covered by the CIP-26 registry and CIP-68 metadata standard. This expanded support extends beyond ADA to all tokens created on Cardano, ranging from stablecoins to tokenized assets.
The Cardano Foundation emphasized that institutional access does not guarantee trading demand or client adoption. Institutions typically evaluate new assets based on business needs and regulatory environments rather than infrastructure alone.
