Firelight Launches DeFi Cover Backed by Staked XRP
Firelight has launched its decentralized finance (DeFi) cover service, with initial positions backed by staked XRP. The protocol's first cover positions were allocated to two Sentora vaults, providing protection for 50.2 million XRP staked on the Flare network.
The coverage contracts are designed to safeguard staked assets, with claims decided by a five-firm consortium through a three-of-five voting mechanism. This ensures a decentralized and secure process for resolving any disputes or payouts.
Firelight has also announced that the audits for the coverage contracts are forthcoming, which will provide an additional layer of security and transparency for users. The protocol's approach aims to mitigate risks associated with staked assets in the DeFi space.
