Flare Simplifies XRP Onboarding for DeFi
The Flare Network has launched version 1.3 of its Smart Accounts feature, making it easier for XRP holders to access decentralized finance (DeFi) services.
With this update, users can now onboard into Flare's DeFi ecosystem with just one signature from their existing XRPL wallet, replacing the previous two-signature process.
The new flow involves a user selecting a vault, signing once from their XRPL wallet, and having Flare's Data Connector verify the signature before minting FXRP, a tokenized representation of XRP, and depositing it automatically into the chosen vault.
The update also widens entry points and destinations for Smart Accounts, with Ledger, Xaman, Joey Wallet, and WalletConnect-compatible wallets now connecting to the service, joining the existing D'CENT hardware integration.
