Flare Networks CEO Hugo Philion has outlined a six-month roadmap to integrate XRPFi, a decentralized finance ecosystem based on XRP. The goal is to transform the isolated XRP Ledger into a fully programmable layer.

The first updates will roll out in two weeks, enabling users to convert their coins into wrapped FXRP tokens at a 1:1 ratio. This will allow them to participate in staking, liquidity pools, and on-chain lending.

Philion expects the protocol to attract up to 5 billion XRP over the next six months, representing approximately 5% of the coin's total supply. However, the team acknowledges that this will require a large inflow of liquidity in stablecoins such as USDT and USDC before lending protocols can become fully operational.

The Confidential Compute technology, based on trusted execution environments (TEEs), will allow institutions to execute large trades while keeping commercially sensitive information hidden from competitors. Transactions will remain fully verifiable on the main network.
