Florida University Places Ripple's XRP Logos in the Swamp
The University of Florida has announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with Ripple, a provider of blockchain solutions across traditional and digital finance. The partnership will generate $5 million annually by placing field logos in the Swamp, including XRP logos on Florida Field beginning with Saturday's game against Florida Atlantic.
Ripple's cryptocurrency, XRP, is designed to move money in seconds at a fraction of the cost of traditional banking. Athletic director Scott Stricklin said that this partnership brings together two organizations that think boldly about the future and that they look forward to introducing XRP to their fans.
The deal also includes digital properties and event signage for Ripple, as well as support for financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the campus community. This education will cover both traditional finance and digital assets.
