Flowdesk Secures Full Broker-Dealer License in Dubai

Share

Flowdesk has obtained a full broker-dealer license in Dubai, allowing it to provide regulated crypto services to qualified and institutional investors. The company's local entity, Flowdesk Omega FZE, received the license from VARA (Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority), which covers services for qualified and institutional investors, but not the general retail market.

The authorization follows an in-principle approval granted in June 2023. Flowdesk also holds MiCA authorization in France, giving it regulated access across the European Union. The company has been working on its governance, compliance systems, risk controls, and institutional trading infrastructure during the licensing process.

Guilhem Chaumont, co-founder and CEO of Flowdesk Group, said that this license will allow them to bring rigor to how they serve institutional and qualified clients in the region. The company offers liquidity provision and virtual asset trading technology services to token issuers and institutional market participants.
