FlutonIO Aims to Balance Blockchain Transparency with User Privacy
Blockchain transparency is often touted as a major advantage of decentralized systems, but researchers have identified a potential flaw in this approach. According to FlutonIO, excessive transparency can actually create vulnerabilities that allow malicious actors to exploit user information.
The team behind FlutonIO aims to solve this problem by developing infrastructure for confidential execution across existing ecosystems. This means that sensitive data such as trade sizes, positions, and strategies would remain private before execution.
Fluton's architecture relies on homomorphic encryption (FHE) to process encrypted intents without revealing underlying data. This approach also reduces the surface area for MEV (maximal extractable value), frontrunning, and sandwich attacks by hiding transaction details.
The platform also incorporates cross-chain support, allowing users to enjoy the same level of privacy across different ecosystems like Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Monad, and Solana. Additionally, Fluton's Proof of Innocence feature provides verifiability without forcing users to expose their private information.
