FOMO Denies iOS App Hack Amid $6M Loss Claims
Crypto trading platform FOMO has denied a hack of its iOS app after a trader claimed an update caused $6 million in crypto losses. According to Derivatives_Ape, an X account built around Solana trading commentary, a friend suffered the loss when opening the FOMO app.
FOMO co-founder Prashan Dharmasena rejected the claim, stating that the account in question never signed a transaction through FOMO's fee payer. He also disputed whether any bug in the app caused the movement of funds.
Forensic researcher ZachXBT pointed out that Derivatives_Ape is allegedly connected to Zkasino, which suffered a $30 million rug pull. However, this does not necessarily discredit the trader's claim, as multiple parties could be involved.
