Forgotten Bitcoin Wallet Transferred, Now Valued at Over $8 Million
An old Bitcoin wallet created in November 2011 has been transferred to a new address containing 100 BTC, which is now valued at over $8 million.
The wallet was created on November 2, 2011, and initially held 100 BTC, purchased for approximately $324 at the then-current price of $3.24 per Bitcoin.
According to chain data, this batch of Bitcoins originated from a block reward in March 2013 and was later transferred in batches by an unknown miner starting August 2025 to BitGo's wallet.
