Former Central Bankers Join Forces with Blockchain Payment Firm Fnality

Share

Fnality, a fintech company focused on developing blockchain-based payment systems, has announced that three former central bankers have joined its team. The trio includes Paul Fisher, a former deputy governor of the Bank of England (BoE), as well as David Lawton and Juan Manuel Mejía, both former officials at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Fisher, who served as the BoE's deputy governor for monetary policy from 2011 to 2014, will be working with Fnality on its efforts to develop a blockchain-based infrastructure for financial transactions. The company aims to create a system that enables banks and other financial institutions to conduct cross-border payments more efficiently.

Fnality has stated that the addition of these experienced central bankers will help to bring a deeper understanding of regulatory requirements and market practices to its projects.
