FTX and Alameda Research Wallets Send $75M in ETH to Wintermute
Onchain analysts PeckShield and EmberCN have reported that wallets linked to the FTX bankruptcy estate and Alameda Research transferred 27,373 ETH worth approximately $75 million to market maker Wintermute.
The transfer is part of the creditor distribution program carried out by the FTX Recovery Trust, which recently made a fourth payment of $2.2 billion.
According to PeckShield, a total of 23,639 ETH was transferred from an address linked to Alameda Research and the FTX bankruptcy estate to Wintermute, valued at around $65 million.
EmberCN later confirmed that six different wallets collectively sent 27,372 ETH to the same destination, tracing the movements through the intelligence platform Arkham.
The onchain data does not confirm whether Wintermute liquidated the assets or if the operation is intended to fund payments to creditors.
