FTX's $900M Creditor Payout Wave Hits Accounts With Delays

Share

FTX's fifth creditor distribution has begun reaching accounts, but not everyone is receiving their funds at the same time. The $900 million payout wave started on July 31, with some creditors reporting that they had received their payments while others were still waiting.

The distribution applies different recovery percentages to each claim class, ranging from 3% for General Unsecured and Digital Asset Loan Claims to 9% for Dotcom Customer Entitlement Claims. These percentages are measured against the allowed US-dollar claim amounts recognized under the bankruptcy plan, not against the current market value of the cryptocurrency.

FTX's official provider guidance recommends that creditors check their account status in the FTX Customer Portal and compare it with the dashboard and email notifications from their selected distribution provider. If a payment is missing, creditors should contact the provider to investigate further.
