Fundstrat Sees Treasury Shift as Potential Catalyst for Bitcoin
Sean Farrell, Head of Digital Asset Strategy at Fundstrat, believes that an upcoming Treasury announcement could be a catalyst for Bitcoin's price increase. The announcement is expected on November 2 and will outline the government's plan to fund itself.
Farrell predicts that the Treasury may reduce or suspend issuance of 10- to 30-year debt, shifting more borrowing towards shorter-dated bills. He argues that this would lead to currency debasement, which has historically driven Bitcoin higher.
Farrell also highlighted several DeFi tokens that he believes will benefit from a 'parabolic phase' in tokenization adoption. These include Solana, Aave, Uniswap, Aerodrome, and Kamino. He cited Solana's success in bringing real-world assets on-chain, as well as the growth and valuation of Aerodrome compared to Uniswap.
Despite his optimism, Farrell cautioned that a near-term 'yellow flag' is present due to the high percentage of tokens trading above their 200-day moving average. He urged investors to be cautious and keep their 'heads on a swivel.'
