Futardio's $43M Influx Leaves Most Projects in the Dust

A new Solana-based token launchpad called Futardio has attracted around $43 million in commitments since its launch on March 3, 2026. However, most of this money went into just a couple of projects, leaving many founders with empty war chests.

Futardio was built by the MetaDAO team and seems to be designed as a funnel for early-stage projects. It allows founders to create fundraising campaigns, set a USDC target between $50,000 and $1 million, and choose a timeline from one hour to seven days.

The platform takes a 0.5 SOL deployment fee from each founder. If a project doesn't meet its target, backers receive a full refund. As of mid-March 2026, only two projects out of 54 had met their fundraising goals, with many raising less than 5% of their desired amounts.

The standout success was Futardio Cult, a memecoin that collected $11.4 million in commitments from 725 unique backers within 24 hours of going live. It oversubscribed its $50,000 target by 22,800%. MetaDAO generated approximately $8,700 in revenue from the initial batch of projects.
